Lake Arrowhead is situated in a breathtaking alpine setting. Crisp, cool air and vivid blue skies attract visitors who come to enjoy the water sports, walk the shoreline, or browse in a cluster of shops. Farther to the east lies Big Bear Lake, the largest mountain lake in Southern California, famous for its alpine setting and abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation.

Nearby Redlands, a college town with a wealth of history, offers beautifully restored Victorian mansions and tree-lined streets. The University of Redlands hosts such cultural activities as concerts, ballets, and operas. The city is also home to the San Bernardino Assistencia. Built around 1830 as a branch of the San Gabriel Mission and now restored to its original state, the Assistencia contains a museum that offers insight into mission and ranch life in the 1840's.

Los Angeles, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, and the Pacific Coast beaches are all about a 90-minute drive from the resort. The south is the city of Palm Springs and the many other small desert communities and golf courses that flourish in this vacation mecca.
